Finish Carpentry & Trim

Trim, baseboards, casings, and built-ins fitted precisely—the details that make a room look finished.

Finish carpentry is where a renovation either looks professional or doesn't. Tight mitres, consistent reveals, and joints that meet cleanly separate a room that looks finished from one that looks almost finished.

We install baseboards, casings, crown, window and door trim, wainscoting, and built-ins. Older homes are a particular specialty—walls are rarely square, and getting trim to sit flat and even in a house that's settled takes patience and experience.

We measure carefully, cut to fit the actual opening rather than assuming it's square, and fill and finish so the paint or stain goes on smooth. The result should look like it was always there.

Common questions

Can you match trim to what's already in my home?

Usually yes. We can match existing profiles or find the closest current equivalent, and we'll tell you honestly where an exact match isn't available so you can decide how to handle it.

Do you paint or stain the trim too?

We can. Fill, sand, caulk, and finish are part of doing trim properly, and we'll include the finishing in your estimate so nothing is left half done.

My walls aren't square—is that a problem?

Not at all, it's normal, especially in older homes. We cut to fit the actual opening rather than assuming square, and cope inside corners so joints close tightly.
